Artist’s Biography:

Shannon Carney is a 26 year old contemporary jeweller who was raised in the United States.

Throughout her childhood, Shannon was active as a competitive golfer. This culminated in an athletic scholarship to play for the Women's Golf Team at Indiana University. There she studied both Jewellery Design, and Business, and graduated with honors.

Since moving to Europe, Shannon has

focused all of her energy into her

jewellery career, but her competitive

spirit remains. Shannon attended

Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery

School in Florence, Italy where she

studied with Manfred Bischoff and

Sofie Lachaert.

In 2005 Shannon won an artist's

residency in the Cote d'Azur of

France where she then lived and

worked for one year.

Shannon currently resides between

the United States and Florence, Italy.
