Custom Citrine Earrings, Version 1: $3845

Material: 18k gold, rose-cut citrine cabochon gemstones

Posts / Catches: 18k gold. Posts will be soldered dead center
- Length: 3.5" long
- Stones: There will be 5 rose-cut citrine cabochons per earring (10 stones in total), as follows:
- 1, 10mm in diameter
- 2, 8mm in diameter
- 2, 6mm in diameter
- Stone settings: Bezel
- The top stone setting (8mm diameter stone) will have a solid gold back, where the post will be soldered.
- Per earring, the additional four stone settings (top to bottom: 1 - 10mm stone, 1- 8mm stone, 2 - 6mm stones), will have open circle backs, allowing light to shine through the stones.
- Gold work: To set stones onto this Classico style design, I will use a thicker (relative to your other Classico purchases) gauge wire for all of the circles.
- For the hollow circles (those with no stones), when looking straight at the earring, the visual difference between the original size and the thinker gauge gold is approx. 2/10ths of a millimeter, but it will make a big difference structurally.
- I will use a larger gauge still, for the circles with stones bezel set on top of them (so the stones have an edge to rest on).
- The largest gauge wire I will use in this earring will be to create the large single hoop at the bottom of each earring. Once hammered, the thickness (width of the band of gold that circles around to create the hoop) will be approx. 2mm
- You can most easily see the variety in circle thicknesses represented in my drawing of the back side of the earring
- Weight: I would consider my other earrings to be lighter weight for statement pieces. But given the amount of gold I need to make this design, plus the weight of the stones, means that these earrings will have a more standard weight for statement earrings.
- Production time: up to 4 weeks, from date invoice is paid. I will email you when your earrings are ready to ship, to confirm your ship date. Goal - to have these in your hands by Aug. 23rd, for your Aug. 24th event.
